Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 5, 2026
At Glass Guru Window Cleaning, we think anyone in Northville and the rest of Southeast Michigan should be able to book a window cleaner online, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. This page explains what we’ve done to make glass-guru.com accessible, and how to reach us if something is getting in your way.
Our commitment
We are committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These standards, set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), cover a wide range of recommendations to make web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people of all abilities.
What we’ve done
Steps we have taken to make this site accessible include:
- Semantic HTML: we use proper landmarks (
main, nav, section, header, footer) so assistive tech can map the page structure. - ARIA labels on interactive controls, navigation menus, and complex components like our before and after sliders and FAQ accordions.
- Keyboard navigation for every interactive element. You can tab through the entire site, open menus, submit the quote form, and dial our phone link without a mouse.
- Color contrast measured. Our brand green is a bright green, and bright green fails badly under white text, so the design system never puts white type on it. Green is a fill with dark text on top, and blue carries the buttons and links.
- Alt text on meaningful images so screen readers can describe before and after photos and the work we do.
- Form labels tied to every input on our quote and contact forms, with helpful error messages when something needs attention.
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Known limitations
The following areas may not yet meet every WCAG 2.1 AA criterion:
- The embedded Google Map on our contact page is provided by Google and may have keyboard or screen-reader limitations outside our control. Everything the map shows is also written out as text on the same page, so you never need the map to get the information.
- The before and after sliders in our gallery are a drag interaction by nature. Each pair also carries alt text describing both states, so the result is readable without using the slider.
- This site is new and has not yet had a third-party accessibility audit. We test with keyboard and screen reader ourselves, which catches a lot but not everything.
If a third-party tool or widget is blocking you from information you need, please call us. We’ll happily share that information directly.
