Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Welcome to Glass Guru Window Cleaning. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of glass-guru.com and any window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, chandelier cleaning or holiday lighting work we do for you. Please read them. They cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, requesting a quote, or hiring us to perform work at your property, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or schedule services. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, HOA, or property management company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization.

2. Services Provided

Glass Guru Window Cleaning has been owner operated since 2014 and works out of Northville, Michigan. We serve Northville, Novi, Plymouth, Canton, Livonia, Commerce Township, West Bloomfield and Farmington Hills, and the surrounding Southeast Michigan communities. We provide:

All work is priced per property. We do not publish flat online pricing, because pane count, storm windows, divided-light sash, gutter length and how high the glass sits all change the job. A 1965 house with triple-track storms can carry more billable glass than a much larger house built in 2004.

3. Quote Requests

Quotes provided over the phone, by email, or through our online form are estimates based on the information you share. They are non-binding until both parties confirm scope and pricing in writing. Final pricing may be adjusted after an on-site inspection if conditions differ from what was described: more openings than counted, storm panels that have to come out, heavier mineral deposit, or glass that turns out to be reachable only from a ladder. We will always discuss any change with you before beginning work.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the slot to another customer.

Exterior work in Michigan depends on the season as well as the weather. Anything that puts water on a surface runs from spring through late fall, because the water has to dry before it can freeze. Interior windows, chandeliers and commercial storefronts run year round, and Christmas lighting runs October through January. Within the season, we will reschedule at no cost to you if rain, lightning, high wind, ice on a roofline or freezing temperatures would compromise safety or quality. Rescheduled appointments take priority on the next workable date.

Spring and fall carry their own timing problems, and we want you to hear about them up front. Tree pollen coats glass again within about a week while the trees are still producing, and on a lot with mature oaks a gutter cleared in October will refill before the first hard freeze. If your property is affected, we will tell you before you book.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due as stated on your quote or invoice.

6. Workmanship & Limitations

Cleaning removes what is sitting on a surface. It does not undo damage to the surface itself, and the difference matters most on glass. Fresh mineral deposit from hard water or sprinkler overspray sits on top of the pane and comes off. Left through enough wet and dry cycles, the same minerals bond into the silica and etch it, and etched glass is a restoration job, done with polishing compound. It is not always fully reversible.

The same is true of failed window seals, scratched or oxidized panes, permanently stained concrete and weathered wood. We will tell you before we quote if a surface has a limit, so you know what you are paying for. Any re-clean or callback window that applies to your job is stated on your quote.

7. Property Access & Safety

Before we arrive, please make sure we have access to:

You are responsible for moving fragile items, clearing sills and interior windowsill decor, securing pets, closing windows and doors, and disclosing any known fragile conditions (loose siding, cracked or previously repaired panes, failing glazing putty, soft mortar, painted decks, and so on) before we begin. We are responsible for operating our equipment safely, protecting landscaping, and using methods appropriate for each surface.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, ordinary wear and tear, or damage caused by conditions you did not disclose (loose flashing, rotted fascia, failing window seals, cracked glazing, undisclosed leaks, and so on). Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Michigan law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on glass-guru.com (including text, photography, before and after images, logos, and design) is the property of Glass Guru Window Cleaning LLC and is protected by copyright. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution, but you may not copy, reproduce, or republish our content without our written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts sitting in Wayne County, Michigan, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
